BeL2 enables the creation of Native Bitcoin DeFi applications such as swaps, lending, and stablecoin issuance executed on Layer 2s backed by Native Bitcoin through the innovative use of ZK proof (ZKP) protocols.
Their vision is to release a value of over $1 trillion in native Bitcoin, which currently remains dormant, to generate opportunities, value, stability, and growth through a new, decentralized financial system.
The BeL2 ecosystem has been rapidly developed, including the loan app upgrade, allowing BTC holders to use their BTC as collateral for loans in USDT while keeping BTC on the main network, and Elastos’ BIT Index launch, releasing research into the expectations around BTC globally.
