At AIOZ Storage, we've designed our billing process to be both easy to understand and user-friendly. Here's what you need to know:
Pre-Paid Approach
We operate on a pre-paid model. To access our services, users are required to deposit funds into their accounts in advance. This ensures that you have sufficient funds available to use our services whenever needed.
The sections below explain the charges for each service: Storage, Vector Database, and Memory.
Storage Billing
1. Charges Based on Bandwidth and Storage
Our billing structure is simple and transparent, with charges based on two key factors:
- Bandwidth: Charges are incurred when you download data.
- Storage: We charge on an hourly basis for the storage you utilize.

2. Hourly Usage Calculation
Every hour, we calculate your usage. This includes measuring the amount of bandwidth you've used for downloads, as well as the storage occupied at that particular moment.
3. Estimate Your Deposits
To make things even more convenient for you, we offer a tool that estimates the amount you'll need to deposit. This tool considers your expected usage, helping you better plan your financial commitments.
In conclusion, AIOZ Storage's billing system is designed with transparency and convenience in mind. Our pre-paid system, combined with bandwidth and storage charges, ensures that you only pay for what you use. The hourly usage calculations and deposit estimation tool further enhance your experience, making sure you're always in control of your expenses.
The entire usage by a sub-user will be billed together with the root account of that sub-user.
Vector Database Billing
Vector database usage is charged from the same pre-paid balance. Our charges are based on three factors:
- Upload: Charges are incurred when you add vectors to an index, based on the amount of data you upload.
- Storage: We charge on an hourly basis for the vectors you store.
- Query: Every search is charged a flat fee per request, plus the amount of data searched and the amount of data returned.

How the price of data searched works
The more vectors your index has, the lower the price per GB. The vectors in an index are priced in steps:

A query is charged at the average price across all the vectors in the index. For example, an index with 1,000,000 vectors has 100,000 vectors at 0.0000028 USD and 900,000 vectors at 0.0000014 USD, so its average price is 0.00000154 USD per GB searched.
Please keep enough balance in your account. When your balance is too low, upload and query requests are rejected.
Memory Billing
Memory is built on top of the vector database, so it is charged in the same way. On top of that, every Record and Recall call has a small flat fee that covers turning your text into embeddings:
